We're thrilled to bits to announce the launch of a new Fifi micro site for our good friends at Chapman Entertainment.
The site has been launched in advance of a new ‘Best of Fifi and the Flowertots’ DVD release with the aim of giving Fifi fans the opportunity to vote for their favourite episodes. In true democratic fashion the most popular episodes will be included on the DVD.
Bionic jumped at the chance to create a site which really sowed the seeds in advance of the DVD launch...
The site was put together in Flash working off a Merb controlled database and exploited the updated creative direction taken from the new Fifi style guide. Given the target age group, navigation and ease of use was a key consideration. We also wanted to ensure the site ran smoothly across all possible user scenarios given twenty movie clips are streamed into the site and large visitor rates are predicted.
The end result is a site that utilises low bandwidth, with a smart backend that records user votes and most of all is a lot of fun!
We'll be reporting the most popular clips back to Chapman at the end of the campaign. Why not get involved and vote yourself? There's even a voter competition to win a Fifi scooter!
Click here to vote for your favorite episode!
Chapman are delighted with the end result and are now working with Bionic on a number of other Fifi related web projects – we've been told to keep schtum on this for now though...

When Rare Communications required a new corporate identity and website they wanted an agency who not only ticked the creative and technical ability boxes but also had a good understanding of their business and that of the industries in which they operate.
Chapman approached their digital partners Bionic Communications to assess each site and familiarise themselves with a already established Content Management System which the new sites would need to work across.
